  18. Dear Friends,

    Here is a tip to reduce your belly fat or body weight. I am an example.
    Previously, I used to consume rice and curries in larger quantities which subsequantly added a lot of carbohydrates to my body. Meals only thrice a day – at 9am, 1pm and 9pm. And straight away go to sleep. I used to drink water only when I was thirsty and that too roughly less than 1 liter /day. And no exercises but just walking for 30 minutes if you count it for a whole day.
    Now, I have changed, I have decided to stop what I was doing.
    –Firstly, I started drinking 3 liters of fresh water daily.
    –In addition to that I drink 1 liter milk and 3-4 cups of green tea with added lime juice, no sugar added. I will have the first cup of green tea when I wake up early morning within 5 minutes (really in empty stomach). Remaining tea during my worktime.
    –Started having food by restricting the amount of carbo intake while increase in the frequency (8am, 11am, 1pm, 5pm & 8pm) and a proper regular diet. Avoided maida products (breads, sandwiches, burgers). Even If I want to have rice, will have just a cup of rice with other vegetables. In my diet I included bananas, apples, corn. While for a change I use to have fish (a lot / not fried) and chicken (grilled) in limited quantities. Chappathis, and food that is prepared with barley, wheat, etc was selected for alternate days while on the other days, I will have idlys and dosas which are my favorites. But all these food at a very less quantities. (2 chappaties / 3 idlies / 2 dosas) got it, right?? ๐Ÿ™‚
    –Just before going to sleep at 11pm, I will have my cup of hot milk without sugar. Sugar is the villain for any food items. So select your food which is having low sugar content. I won’t have milk in the day time as I intake green tea during this time.
    –Apart from the food habits, I started walking for 2 hours daily. Since I won’t get time at home, I use to take short breaks while at work. A brisk walk for 20 mins helped me for a round. So 5 to 6 rounds will make my day. Apart from this, when ever I feel to do some exercise, for the sake of someone, I do some stretches.
    –Sleep is important. Since I was not taking food in bulk, and was tired after the daily walks, it helped me to get a sound sleep.

    That’s it. From 85 kilos to 65kilos, at the age of 33, I feel I am very healthy and active all day long. Hope my routine will help you out as it worked for me.
