Excessive redness on your face can be due to several reasons. Common causes include rosacea, lupus, acne, eczema, seborrhea, perimenopause, broken capillaries or extremely dry skin.

  2. Gently rub the compress all over your face for 1 minute.
  3. Take a break for 10 minutes, then repeat again.
  4. Do it as needed.

2. Aloe Vera

6. Witch Hazel

Witch hazel also helps combat redness on the face. Being a natural astringent, witch hazel constricts the blood vessels and the pores under the surface of your skin, which in turn minimizes the appearance of redness.

  1. Soak a cotton ball in some witch hazel.
  2. Hold it against the affected area for 5 minutes.

7. Manuka Honey

Manuka honey is rich in antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties that help reduce skin redness when it is caused by acne.

It has antibacterial effects that help fight bacteria involved in acne, which can cause the skin to turn red.

  1. Gently rub a little manuka honey on your face.
  2. Allow it to sit for 15 to 20 minutes, then rinse it off with lukewarm water.

8. Apple Cider Vinegar

  • Also, to help heal your skin from within, you can mix 2 teaspoons of raw, unfiltered apple cider vinegar and 1 teaspoon of raw honey into 1 cup of filtered water. Drink the mixture twice daily.

9. Coconut Oil

Another natural remedy for getting rid of redness on your face is coconut oil.

The high fatty acid content of coconut oil helps reduce inflammation and revitalize the skin. Also, its moisturizing property combats skin dryness, a common cause of redness.

  • Soak a cotton ball in extra-virgin coconut oil, and gently massage it on the affected areas of your skin. Leave it on overnight and wash your face with lukewarm water in the morning. Repeat daily for a few weeks.
  • Another option is to add 2 or 3 drops of tea tree oil to 1 tablespoon of coconut oil. Apply the oil blend on the affected area. Wait 15 to 20 minutes, then rinse it off using lukewarm water. You can use this remedy 2 or 3 times a day.

10. Aspirin

For mild redness on your face, aspirin is very effective.

Aspirin contains salicylic acid that constricts the blood vessels and reduces facial inflammation quite well.

  2. Mix enough water into the powder to form a runny paste.
  3. Apply the paste on the affected area using a cotton swab.
